5 Essential Data Analytics Tools For Business Intelligence

data analysis

“War is ninety percent information.

The importance of data or information can be understood from these words of the great French military leader Napoleon Bonaparte. The famous general didn’t even live the information age, and yet he attributed most of his military success to having the right information. When you’re battling for a competitive advantage in business, analytics data can be equally important to your success.

According to Wikipedia Data Analysis is defined as a process of inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modelling data with the goal of discovering useful information, suggesting conclusions, and supporting decision-making. Data analysis has multiple facets and approaches, encompassing diverse techniques under a variety of names, in different business, science, and social science domains.

Another quote which comes about importance of information is “To do a business well is to manage its future, and to manage its future well is to manage information.”

There are various tools available for managing today’s large databases and which are capable of extracting meaningful information from them. Some of the best available tools for Data Analytics are listed here:

1.Tableau

I Felt A Sting

i felt a sting.
it came to me,
the same way she came to me
like some kind of terrible accident.
i couldn't sleep
days like nights, and nights like days
i knew from that moment on
i was in trouble, incomplete.
i had experienced a small amount of pain

when she would leave,

but no one ever stayed,

and if they did, eventually,
i would want them to leave.
the things i wanted could never
adjust to the things i needed
she was only good to me
when i felt alone,
and i use only good to her
when she needed a lover,
we were only good to each other together.
everything else was shot to hell.

Just A Random Thought

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints on your hearts. To handle yourself, use your head; to handle others, use your heart. Anger is only one letter short of danger.

If someone betrays you once, it is his fault; if he betrays you twice, it is your fault. Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small events discuss people. He who loses money, lose much; he who loses a friend, loses much more; he who loses faith, loses all.

Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, but beautiful old people are works of art. Learn from the mistakes of others. You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.... There is no beginning or end. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is mystery. Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present.

The Paradox Of Our Age

WE HAVE BIGGER HOUSES AND SMALLER FAMILIES

MORE CONVENIENCES, BUT LESS TIME;

WE HAVE DEGREES, BUT LESS SENSE;

MORE KNOWLEDGE, BUT LESS JUDGEMENT;

MORE EXPERTS, BUT MORE PROBLEMS,

MORE MEDICINE, BUT LESS HEALTHINESS.

WE'VE BEEN ALL THE WAY TO THE MOON AND BACK

BUT WE HAVE TROUBLE CROSSING THE STREET

TO MEET THE NEW NEIGHBOUR ;

WE HAVE BUILT MORE COMPUTERS

TO HOLD MORE INFORMATION,

TO PRODUCE MORE COPIES THAN EVER,

BUT HAVE LESS COMMUNICATION.

WE'VE BECOME LONG ON QUANTITY, BUT SHORT ON QUALITY

THESE ARE THE TIMES OF FAST FOODS AND SLOW DIGESTION;

TALL MEN AND SHORT CHARACTER;

STEEP PROFITS AND SHALLOW RELATIONSHIPS.

IT IS TIME WHEN THERE IS MUCH IN THE WINDOW

AND NOTHING IN THE STOREROOM

Traffic Jams Are Family Members

It might sound odd but it is true. Imagine you leave your home and get stuck in traffic jam on your way to work. Now what you will do? It’s a situation you have not created but are still a part of. Observe if you get angry, crib and then make peace with it. If this jam is on your office route, then maybe you won’t be getting angry everyday but that irritation still lurks around.

Do you then over time start filling in this “jammed” time with other activities like calling people either for meetings or socially? Do you listen to music or read? Do you start looking outside the window and start checking out people or even worse the hoardings around your vehicle? There’s always something our mind would find for you to do, which would simmer down the irritation and anger within. It is our mind which makes us feel these emotions, and then it’s the mind which
brings us these solutions. What if we start making these solutions a part of our drive every time – the rooms for anger and irritation just about minimizes to nothing, and these jams become just another time to explore something unusual.

Is that not something that we can do in dealing with our family members in times when things are sour? When all can’t see eye to eye and yet have to live together because that’s what families do. There would be an initial tension but how long that goes on is really dependent on us. When we have the power to make one hour traffic jam seem like a smooth ride, there is definitely more to us than just letting things be with our family. Finding a solution might take time, and executing it might take even longer, but the process can begin now. It can begin when we want it to, unless you are gaining some sadistic pleasure in keeping things hanging. Most importantly – Don’t push anything under the carpet. Work it out, talk it out. Figure out what is important for us.

It is going to be the same route to work everyday. The later you leave home, the heavier the jam for you to navigate through. Try beginning ten minutes earlier from home. Maybe there will be an opening which will save you precious moments from this jam!

Don't Wait

When things go wrong; as they sometimes will;

When the road you're trudging seems all uphill;

When the funds are low and the debts are high;

And you have to smile but you sigh.

When all is pressing you down a bit-

Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Success is failure turned inside out;

The silver tint on the clouds of doubts;

And you can never tell how close you are;

It may be near when it seems far;

So stick to fight when you're hardest hit -

It's when things go wrong that you must not quit.

How to Be Absolutely Fu**ing Unstoppable

Wanna do great things?
Make up your mind that NOTHING is gonna stop you.
NOTHING

No one else has a say, unless you give ’em that right.
It’s literally all up to you.
Your success or failure has nothing to do with anything else, anyone else, and anything that is not YOU.
Thinking that something or someone can stand in your way is giving away all your power and giving permission to the world to choose your destiny for you.
Stories in your head about why you can’t do it—the kids, your lack of skills and education, it’s too late, too early, you’re too young, too old, or the dog ate your homework and pissed on your good shoes—are works of pure fiction unless you choose to make them your reality.

If your reason “why” is big enough, you’ll find a way to do it.

If you’re ready and willing to do whatever it takes, even if that means being laughed at and taking a few beatings along the way, then cut the umbilical cord connected to what the world thinks and move forward with intense determination that nothing or no one is gonna stop you.
If you’re scared, that’s good. And if you if doubt yourself, that’s even better.
Fear and self-doubt are two giant signs that you’re onto something big, and to keep moving forward.
Choosing your destiny is your birthright, as long as you’re willing to put in the work.
Put one foot in front of the other, boldly move forward, and do not stop for anything or anyone.
Just keep moving forward.
Remain steadfast in your determination that NOTHING or no one can defeat you.

Do not worry about what others say about how great or shitty you are.

Their opinions don’t matter, only yours does.
Even if the entire world seems to be against you.
Take it from Gandhi, First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”
Never forget that there are people without legs to walk with or eyes to see who are doing shit most of us can’t even think of doing.
There are people who were beaten every day as a child and told they would never amount to anything who’ve created art so great the rest of the world stares at it in awe.
Every word the critics utter is just another sign that you’re on the right path.

Every thought that says you “can’t” just means you’re about to create a whole new reality and to keep moving forward.
Do what you’ve been doing and keep getting more of the same.
Or let your Inner Giant out of its cage to rise up and do some seriously awesome shit.
The choice is yours

Soul Doesn't Know A Thing

Sometimes the people with the greatest potential
often take the longest to find their path
because their sensitivity is double edged sword
-it lives at the heart of their brilliance,
but it also makes them more susceptible to life's pains.
Good thing we aren't being penalized for handing in our purpose late.
The soul doesn't know a thing about deadlines.
